The Shoalhaven Coast Winter Wine Festival (7-9 June 2014) The annual wine festival held on the June long weekend at various local venues - wine and cheese tastings, fine food, winery tours, market stalls and local produce, winemakers' dinners and live music. The Shoalhaven Coast wine growing region produces a wide range of varieties such as Verdelho, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Chambourcin, Rosé, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. Meet vignerons and wine makers at the cellar door. A là carte dining in award-winning restaurants.
The Milton Scarecrow Festival will be held on Saturday 7th June of the long weekend. Lots of scarecrows - fancy dress and scarecrow judging; markets, petting zoo, cow pat lotto, jumping castles, golf and football fun, climbing wall, skate ramp. Local entertainment, bands, singers, dance shows, guessing competitions, games. In 2013 guest scarecrow judge Charles Maxwell from radio 2ST was frightened out of his wits when he saw a scarecrow emerging from a cupboard on the Princes Highway at the southern end of Milton. The creation was awarded the best overall scarecrow title, with the Milton Public School creepy creation taking out the community category and the Milton Bed and Breakfast voted Best Business 'Scary Chef' Scarecrow!
Escape Artfest The Southern Shoalhaven Arts Festival is held annually in September - October. Enjoy a host of exhibitions and events in the area including art, music, film, fashion, sculpture, literature, photography, dance and performance - over 60 artistic events.
In 2013 Milton B&B proudly presented for the sixth year an exhibition of art and craft works by the residents of Sarah Claydon Care Centre and Shoalhaven Community. Debbie has filmed a short story called "Jean: Over the Rainbow" which is featured on ABC Open "My Crazy Passion" website. It is about the making of this year's craft project being shown at the exhibition and films the night of the Milton Gallery Walk. The film also features the special performance on the night and original soundtrack by The Escalators.
